Fun at Storms

I really wish I was more active on here. Part of the reason I'm not is probably the lack of interaction with you guys honesty. On my YouTube channel subscriber interaction is so real but here it's not as present. Sometimes I wonder if anyone even reads these this. So I guess I'm changing my mindset and writing this more for me, but if your out there and reading these feel free to interact with me and leave responses!

A few weeks ago I went of my friends Storms house to play with her ponies. The have about 40 acres of land and a small barn on the lot. She owns three horses but only one is rideable. There's names are Lucy, Lady, and Buttercup.
(Lady in front Lucy in middle Buttercup last)

The weekend was defiantly horse filled. We worked a lot with training Lucy like lunging and things of that nature. Although Lucy is a western horse we also jump her and its really fun. She's not the best at it but she loves it and it's so cute!

While I was there I also helped storm organize her tack room, and let me tell ya , it looks FLAWLESS! It took forever though, we worked on it from about 5-10pm!

All in all it was a great relaxing weekend that I never want to forget!

(Btw we're riding double bareback)

Christmas Haul

I'm I know I said about three day ago I would post this tomorrow but..... Life kinda happened and the blog post didn't. Anyways I know this is a lot late but, I'm still going to post it. I ended up getting quite a few horse related items for Christmas, and decided it was enough to make a post on. I'm going to arrange the items from least interesting up to most interesting, or at least try to!

The first thing I received was a jar of Mrs. Pastures horse treats and a tub of Stud Muffins. I'm super lame and gifted the Mrs. Pastures  treats to myself. When I went into Dover they were just begging me to buy them... So I did.

The next thing I gifted to myself as well. I just had to the sale was unbeatable. For only $10 I got the Riders Internatiol Quilted Saddle Pad in black.

The next thing I received was the Riding Sport Plaid Trim Zip Mock Neck in white and ice blue.
(Sorry for the weird lighting this was taken late at night)

I also got the Riding Sport Quilted Vest in navy. I had to use Dover's picture because I am currently in the process of exchanging sizes.

One of my favorite gifts I received was the Tredstep Symphony No. 3 Rosa Breech in midnight grey. Aren't they beautiful!?!

The last gift I recived was the Dublin Tall River Boots. They are my absolute favorite gift from Christmas. I have wanted them FOREVER! I'm so happy I finally got them.

I hoped you enjoyed looking at what gifts I got. Comment below any suggestions you have for future blog post you would like me to write.

Festive ponies & Updates

Before I get into what this blog post is really about, I just wanted to update you guys on the whole Foxie situation. Long story short my parents still said no. I just hope they take the time to find her a good loving home!
(From the last day I saw her)

Anyway! The holidays were great to me and hopeful good for you guys too! Tomorrow I will most likely post what I got instead of filming it. One of my favorite traditions to do near Christmas time is to use my Christmas saddle pad on all horses I ride in December.
I think little miss Annie modled it the best!  I just wanted to drop in, much more interesting blog post will be coming up starting tomorrow.

Holidays and Unfiltered Thoughts

I absolutely love this season! Chistmas lights are finally starting to come out and jingle bells is on constant repeat in my mind. Also most tack shops are having stellar deals reducing their prices to some of there popular items by a very affordable amount. My two favorite tack shops, Smartpak and Dover, are both doing a twelve days of Christmas sale. This is were they have different deals on different products every day. I would definitely recommend signing up for their email list even if it's only for the deals during this time of year.

On another note I'm really trying to get my parents to buy Foxie. If you don't already know who she is, she is the horse I leased last year from a camp. I miss her more than anything and she is getting kicked out for her not so fabulous attitude to other horses and some people. I truly believe she is a good horse and she just needs someone to take the time to work with her, and no one at camp has the patience to. I'm not going to really get in to why this pisses me off because all you guys need to know at the moment is I miss her and want to buy her. Here's some pictures of her looking really cute and nice so you can fall in love with her too:

So now that you love her maybe as much as I do I'll continue. I've already begged and cried about getting her because she was supposed to go to auction last month. That plan of attack obviously didn't work. By some act of God she is still at camp. Actually I take that back it wasn't a miracle it was more like the barn director  not getting her stuff done and being lazy. So the only thing buying me time is her lack of work ethic. I already know what my parents main arguments are, which is grades and how I plan to support her during college. I came up with an economic plan where I only have to work during the summers to pay for her during the school year, which my dad liked, however, now I have to get over the other brick wall called GRADES. I've been doing moderately good this whole school year but it seems as if everything is crashing down around me at last second.  So yes I am that one kid stuck in the slacker boat struggling to get to shore. However I'm not going to give up fighting, I have two weeks and I'm determined to make it. I also have to prove once I get her my grade won't slip. I have no clue how I'm going to pull it off and my pessimistic attitudes at the moment is telling me I won't. I do however know how much I love this horse and I know I'm going to try my hardest. I thought you guys might want to know about my efforts ;)

Long Time no See

Hey guys! It's been absolutely FOREVER since I've talked to you. If you are subscribed to my YouTube channel you would know I've also been absent from it for a while. I swear it's not because I don't like you all, or because I have given up on my horse related social media. I have just been really busy with my Junior year in school and riding. I will start at least blogging more so I have contact with you guys and you can get updates on my horse related life and stay in contact through comments and things like that. Hopefully within they next couple of weeks I can make this blog more useful and informative rather than just updates all the time. Sorry I've been so MIA lately I promise there are bigger and better things to come soon. Also hopefully I will be posting an updates video on my YouTube channel soon so look out for that.

Brown Paper Packages Tied up in String

I'm Recently I made a purchase from one of my all time favorite companies SmartPak. I used to be skeptical to order from SmartPak because there company is only online. I have always gone to local tack shops to get my riding necessities, and never considered going online to shop for this stuff. Let me be the first to tell you, that was a big mistake. SmartPak has better customer service than a retail store. That is an amazing accomplishment considering you never meet with these people face to face. The box your products arrive in is probably one on my favorite details.
The tape they use to enclose the box is not only adorable, but it also is a great marketing strategy by informing the customer about the great things they have to offer. Another thing that I love is the back of the receipt. The way it is written makes it seem personal and like the workers at SmartPak are your friends.
For some reason I absolutely love that it says "have a great ride" on it. I also love how confident they are in their products, but also show you the ease of returning it if you don't like something, or need to exchange something for a different size. The little things that they do makes all the difference.
Even if the box was empty I still would have been happy to open it because of all the adorable marketing strategies they used! Everything about the order felt personal and easy. However I did actually get something, and I adore how it turned out.
At the beginning I had a fear of ordering something that had to be personalized online. SmartPak made it hassle free and easy, and it arrived it a short amount of time. As you can tell it is also gorgeous!
One thing I did not show is; once your order arrives it has a sticker with your name on everything you buy. This is extremely useful for the barn saver program that they have where you and your barn friends can have everything shipped to your barn on the same day. Also, I failed to mention that SmartPak orders over $50 and regular orders over $75 ship free! Next time you need something for your horse consider trying SmartPak they have amazing service and thousands of products to pick from. I know that this is going to be the first place I check for equestrain items I need!

Where have I been? College Life

If you follow my YouTube channel, you would know that I have been inactive lately. This is because I have been on a college road trip, and I had to leave home to go to some really far places such as Ohio and Kentucky, to find colleges that offer the major I would like to pursue! The major that I plan to study is something that involves the equine industry. Because of it being a sport and a competive industry, my fall back plan is to either do a double major or minor in marketing. Hopefully, if something ends up happening, and I can't ride, train or anything similar, I could still work at a major horse corporation, such as Smart Pak!

The three colleges that I visited were:

1. The University of Kentucky

2. The Universtiy of Findlay

3. The University of Louisville

They all offer a variety of different opportunities within the major, so I would really recommend to read their websites and possibly visit, if you are intrested in a college with this particular major. Thankfully, there are many colleges in the country that offer multiple equine related majors! So, do your research and pick your top one before you make a decision!
